Gautham CB, a seasoned healthcare leader with over two decades of experience, has recently joined Sparsh Hospital as the Chief Operating Officer for its new flagship hospital in Hennur. In this pivotal role, he will lead the hospital’s operational strategy and contribute his extensive expertise in healthcare management, ensuring the facility meets high standards of patient care and operational efficiency.
Before joining Sparsh, Gautham held the position of Chief Operating Officer at HCG Aastha Cancer Centre in Ahmedabad. During his tenure, he focused on optimizing operational processes and elevating patient satisfaction across HCG’s healthcare network and relocating the Hospital to their newer infrastructure. His experience in driving growth and managing P&L responsibilities in healthcare settings has made him an asset to each organization he has served.
Gautham’s career includes an impressive tenure at Motherhood, where he spent over five years managing hospital operations across North and West India. As a Regional Head, he oversaw hospitals in several major cities, such as Pune, Mumbai, Indore, Gurugram, Noida, and Chandigarh. In this capacity, he directed key operational initiatives, achieving substantial growth, new hospital launches and spearheading improvements in patient services.
His foundational years in healthcare began at Fortis Healthcare, where he spent nearly six years in various leadership roles. Starting as the Senior Manager of Marketing and later transitioning into AGM-Operations, Gautham honed his skills in marketing, sales, and operational management, laying the groundwork for his strategic and leadership capabilities in healthcare.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Gautham is a dedicated long-distance runner and holds the unique distinction of being one of only 120 Indians to have completed all six World Marathon Majors—Chicago, Berlin, Tokyo, London, New York, and Boston. His passion for running extends into philanthropy, where he has raised over Rs. 50 lakhs through participation in running events over the past few years. Notably, he has been the highest fundraiser at Bengaluru’s TCS World10K event for two consecutive years.
A graduate of IIM Bangalore with an MBA, Gautham also holds certifications in strategic leadership and healthcare management from IIM Ahmedabad and IIM Calcutta. This academic foundation, coupled with his hands-on experience, makes him uniquely equipped to navigate the complexities of healthcare administration. Now at Sparsh Hospital, he is poised to set new benchmarks in patient care and operational efficiency at the new Hennur facility.
