Varun Kohli has joined Times Network as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) for their News Broadcasting Business. He will report to the Managing Director’s Office and collaborate closely with N Subramanian, the Executive Director and Group CEO of Times Group’s Non-Publishing Business.
With nearly three decades of leadership experience in the media industry, Varun Kohli is a seasoned professional known for his extensive career and expertise. His proficiency in Profit & Loss (P&L) and Operations Management within the Broadcasting Business sector will be invaluable to Times Network. Renowned as the “Turnaround Man,” Varun has a track record of launching successful media brands and transforming others into profitable enterprises. He is recognized for his people management skills, consistently drawing the best performance from his team members.
Varun has been credited with transforming multiple companies by designing strategic roadmaps and implementing detailed benchmarking. His previous roles include Group CEO at iTV Network, where he managed 10 channels, two publications, and digital ventures for over eight years. He has also held senior leadership positions at Network 18, HT Media Ltd, Amar Ujala Prakashan, and other top media organizations. Most recently, he served as Director & CEO of Bharat Express.
