Anurag Pandey has been appointed as the new Chief Technology Officer of Carlsberg Group, effective September 16th, 2024. Based in Copenhagen, Anurag will lead Carlsberg’s technology strategy, utilizing his extensive experience to enhance the company’s digital landscape and support its ambitious growth objectives.
Anurag brings over two decades of expertise in the retail and technology sectors, most recently serving as Vice President of Global Technology at Nike. In his role at Nike, Anurag was pivotal in driving the company’s digital transformation across Greater China, implementing strategies that advanced Nike’s technological capabilities and significantly improved customer experiences in a highly competitive market.
Anurag’s journey with Nike began in 2015, when he joined as Director of Technology. His rapid ascent to Senior Director for Greater China and Japan was marked by his visionary leadership and his ability to align technology with business needs, positioning Nike as a leader in digital innovation in the Asia-Pacific region. His previous roles at Adidas, CP Lotus Retail, and Reliance Retail further established him as a dynamic leader capable of managing complex technology projects and driving operational efficiencies on a global scale.
Anurag’s career began at Tesco China, where his strategic approach and technical expertise quickly propelled him to the role of Head of IT. Throughout his career, he has been recognized for implementing IT strategies that closely align with business goals, earning him a reputation as a forward-thinking leader in the tech industry.
With a degree in Computer Engineering from Savitribai Phule Pune University, Anurag is known for his skills in IT strategy, vendor management, service delivery, and project management. His leadership style emphasizes collaboration and innovation, fostering a culture of continuous improvement among his teams.
