Commvault, a prominent provider of cyber resilience and data protection solutions for hybrid cloud environments, has announced the appointment of Pranay Ahlawat as its inaugural Chief Technology and AI Officer (CTAIO). Reporting directly to Chief Product Officer Rajiv Kottomtharayil, Ahlawat will spearhead Commvault’s product vision and development efforts, focusing particularly on enhancing cyber resilience through modern AI technologies.
Ahlawat brings a wealth of experience in artificial intelligence, cloud infrastructure software, business strategy, product development, and operations to his new role. Prior to joining Commvault, he held leadership positions at Boston Consulting Group (BCG), where he advised software and Software as a Service (SaaS) companies on cloud and infrastructure strategies.
In his new role, Ahlawat is set to guide Commvault in building next-generation cyber resilience solutions, aiming to address the critical security challenges faced by organizations in today’s threat landscape. His appointment is a strategic move for Commvault as it seeks to enhance its Data Management and Cyber Recovery Platform with advanced AI-driven capabilities.
