Aston Martin has officially announced the appointment of Enrico Cardile as Chief Technical Officer, following his departure from Ferrari. Cardile, who served as Ferrari’s Technical Director for the chassis area, leaves the Italian team after nearly two decades of service. His new role at Aston Martin will commence in 2025.
Cardile’s move to Aston Martin comes after widespread speculation in Italy and was confirmed shortly after his resignation from Ferrari was made public. In his new position, Cardile will be pivotal in steering the technical direction of Aston Martin as they prepare for significant regulation changes in 2026.

Cardile’s appointment follows the recent announcement that Andy Cowell will join Aston Martin as Group CEO. Executive Chairman Lawrence Stroll emphasized the strength these new appointments bring to the team’s technical leadership.

Team Principal Mike Krack highlighted the importance of Cardile’s role in developing the next generation of cars under the new regulations.
