GreenEarthX is pleased to announce the appointment of Meher Afroz as the new Chief Technology Officer. Meher joins GreenEarth after an illustrious career at Microsoft, where she held various pivotal roles over nearly 11 years, demonstrating her extensive experience and dedication to sustainability. Her expertise aligns seamlessly with GreenEarth’s mission to advance the Green Hydrogen ecosystem.
During her tenure at Microsoft, Meher most recently served as the Partner Group Engineering Manager at the India Development Center. In this role, she led core platform engineering teams across critical business areas, playing a key role in driving digital transformation and building engineering excellence across global locations.
Prior to this, Meher was the Chief of Staff, Strategic Enterprise Services IT in Seattle, where she managed strategy, investment, portfolio planning, and operational excellence for a large, multi-discipline organization. Her efforts were crucial in steering organizational strategy and enhancing operational frameworks.
Earlier in her career at Microsoft, Meher held the position of General Manager, where she was instrumental in building high-performing engineering teams and leading innovative programs such as PidNext and OEM Activation 3.0. Additionally, she was an Executive Sponsor of Diversity and Inclusion initiatives, launching programs like DigiGirlz and Code for Her to foster interest in technology among women.
Before joining Microsoft, Meher worked at General Electric (GE) as a Center of Excellence Leader. There, she led various technology projects and graduated from GE’s Experienced Information Management Program. Her career began as an Analyst/Programmer at Tata Steel, followed by a role as a Project Manager at Keane Inc.
Meher Afroz’s extensive background in technology and her commitment to sustainability make her a valuable addition to GreenEarthX, where she will spearhead technological advancements and support the company’s mission to promote the Green Hydrogen ecosystem.
