Wipro Unveils Lab45 AI Platform to Drive Business Transformation Under Leadership of CTO Subha Tatavarti

Wipro, a prominent technology services and consulting company, has launched the Lab45 Artificial Intelligence (AI) Platform, aimed at revolutionizing business functions and industry-specific solutions through advanced Generative AI (GenAI) technologies.

The platform, housed within Wipro’s innovation lab, Lab45, is designed to empower both Wipro’s clients and its extensive workforce of over 230,000 employees. It operates on a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) model and integrates state-of-the-art Large Language Models (LLMs) along with custom deep-learning capabilities. This integration enables seamless language and visual processing, facilitating tasks such as image generation from text prompts and content summarization.

“With over 1,000 GenAI agents and more than 10 applications, our platform provides pre-built solutions for HR, sales, marketing, and operations, supporting both no code and low code environments,” stated Subha Tatavarti, Chief Technology Officer at Wipro. She emphasized that the platform has already demonstrated productivity gains of up to 30% across various industries.

The launch of the Lab45 AI Platform marks a significant milestone in Wipro’s commitment to fostering innovation and enhancing operational efficiencies for its clients. Tatavarti highlighted the platform’s role in accelerating innovation while ensuring privacy and responsible AI practices.

Wipro’s strategic move mirrors recent initiatives by other industry leaders, such as Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), which also introduced AI platforms to leverage cutting-edge technologies like GenAI. These platforms are reshaping industries by streamlining complex processes in areas like HR, sales, and quality engineering, leading to substantial improvements in efficiency and accuracy.

Educational institutions, including Harvard Business School, are also leveraging Wipro’s AI platform to educate future business leaders on advanced GenAI applications, underscoring its broad impact on academia and society.

As Wipro continues to expand its footprint in the AI landscape, the Lab45 AI Platform stands poised to drive transformative changes across diverse sectors, reaffirming Wipro’s position as a leader in technology-driven innovation.
