Badri Narayanan Appointed as Group CEO Designate at Samunnati

Badri Narayanan has been appointed as the Group CEO Designate at Samunnati, a leading agri-value chain enabler. This appointment comes as part of a strategic leadership realignment aimed at strengthening the company’s mission of empowering smallholder farmers and driving sustainable growth in the agricultural ecosystem.

Narayanan, a seasoned professional with over two decades of experience at Unilever, will focus on enhancing operational excellence and ensuring the effective implementation of Samunnati’s vision. His expertise spans general management, sales, marketing, digital commerce, and operations, with a successful track record in emerging markets and global initiatives.

At the same time, Anil Kumar SG, the Founder and current Group CEO, will transition to the role of Founder and Managing Director. This elevation will allow Kumar to focus on long-term strategic initiatives, fostering impactful partnerships, and scaling innovative models that position Samunnati as a thought leader in the agricultural sector.

Over the next several months, Narayanan will oversee the integration processes before fully assuming the role of Group CEO. His appointment reflects Samunnati’s ongoing commitment to driving transformative solutions that enable resilience and growth for smallholder farmers across the ecosystem.
