Belson Coutinho Appointed Chief Operating Officer at Akasa Air

Belson Coutinho has been appointed as the Chief Operating Officer at Akasa Air, a move that highlights the airline’s commitment to operational excellence as it continues its growth trajectory. In this leadership role, Coutinho will oversee inflight services, airport services, maintenance and engineering, flight operations, IOCC, and operational efficiency, while also leading the Akasa Air Learning Academy.

Coutinho has been a key figure in Akasa Air’s executive committee since its inception. He previously served as the airline’s Chief Marketing and Experience Officer, where he played a pivotal role in shaping the brand’s vision, driving customer-centric initiatives, and contributing to the company’s rapid expansion.

In his new role, Coutinho will leverage his extensive experience in airline operations to ensure the smooth functioning of key operational departments. His passion for service excellence, brand building, employee engagement, and cost leadership is expected to further elevate Akasa Air’s operational efficiency.
