Vedanta Aluminum appointed Fabio Martins as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Billets. In this critical role, Fabio will oversee the Aluminum Billets product group, taking full responsibility for the business’s P&L. His primary focus will be on optimizing production efficiency, integrating automation, and executing strategic commercial activities, all while upholding safety standards and advancing environmental and sustainability goals.
Fabio brings over 26 years of experience in the aluminum industry, with a substantial portion of his career spent at Alcoa. Prior to joining Vedanta, he served as the Director of Operations at Alcoa in Poços de Caldas, Brazil, where he successfully managed mining, refinery, and aluminum operations. His achievements include leading business turnarounds, negotiating with state regulators, and managing key environmental and safety projects.
Earlier in his career at Alcoa, Fabio held several key leadership positions, including General Manager Operations and Refinery Manager, and Commercial Manager – Primary Metal & Aluminum Powder. In these roles, he provided strategic direction, managed operations, and led commercial strategies, significantly contributing to Alcoa’s success.
Fabio’s extensive expertise in managing operations and driving business strategies within the aluminum sector makes him a pivotal addition to Vedanta Aluminum as the company aims to enhance its market presence and operational excellence globally.
