Himank Goswami has joined IHG Hotels & Resorts as the Senior Director of Design and Capital Planning for the South West Asia, Middle East, and Africa (SWA-MEA) region. In this capacity, Goswami will oversee design initiatives across IHG’s diverse portfolio, including premium, essentials, and suites brands, while also leading capital planning strategies to support the company’s growth and brand development across more than 190 properties in the region.
With over 15 years of experience in design, transformation, and capital planning within the hospitality industry, Goswami brings vast expertise to this new role. His primary focus will be driving the expansion of IHG’s portfolio through new constructions and rebranding efforts, ensuring that each property aligns with IHG’s commitment to enhancing guest experiences and brand standards. Goswami’s responsibilities will also include managing refurbishments and supporting the overall health of IHG’s brand offerings, from essential to luxury segments.
Before joining IHG, Goswami held the position of Senior Manager of Design and Technical Services at Emaar Hospitality Group. During his tenure, he managed design projects for several high-profile luxury and upscale brands, including Address and Vida. His career has been marked by a strong emphasis on strategic capital planning, design management, and leadership in driving successful project outcomes.
Goswami’s appointment highlights IHG’s dedication to strengthening its presence in the SWA-MEA region, where he will play a key role in advancing the company’s design and capital planning goals to support its long-term success in this dynamic market.
