Jyoti Sharma Appointed CEO of Nasscom Foundation

Jyoti Sharma has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer of Nasscom Foundation, bringing over two decades of experience in driving social impact across various sectors. With expertise in gender equality, education, climate change, regenerative agriculture, child rights, and disaster management, Jyoti is well-positioned to lead the foundation into its next phase of growth. Her appointment underscores Nasscom Foundation’s commitment to leveraging technology for social good, as part of its TechForGood initiative.

Jyoti’s career is distinguished by her dedication to social empowerment and sustainable development. She holds a Master’s degree in Social Work from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, and her previous roles include leadership positions at the Organic Cotton Accelerator, European Commission, World Resources Institute, Magic Bus India Foundation, Action Aid, and Save the Children. Throughout her career, Jyoti has built high-performing teams, driven impactful programs, and mobilized significant resources to support social initiatives.

In her new role, Jyoti Sharma expressed her excitement about the opportunity, stating, “I strongly believe that technology, when combined with purpose and innovation, can be a catalyst for creating equitable and sustainable development. Under Jyoti’s leadership, Nasscom Foundation will focus on its flagship programs aligned with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and India’s vision of inclusive growth. These initiatives include Digital Literacy, Skilling and Employability for marginalized youth (especially women), Digital Capacity Building for Women Entrepreneurs, Social Innovation, and NGO Empowerment. The foundation has already made significant strides in these areas, and moving forward, it plans to focus on emerging fields such as AI for Social Good and enhancing the digital capacity of the broader impact ecosystem.
