Kumar Rajiva Appointed Vice President – India, GID at NTT Global Data Centers

Kumar Rajiva has been appointed Vice President – India, GID, at NTT Global Data Centers. With an extensive career spanning nearly three decades in construction and corporate functions, Kumar is poised to lead the development of data centers across India. His appointment underscores NTT’s commitment to expanding its data center footprint while ensuring operational excellence and innovation in the fast-evolving digital infrastructure industry.

Before joining NTT Global Data Centers, Kumar served as India Head for Data Center Construction at Amazon Web Services (AWS). In this role, he led construction teams, overseeing the development and construction of data centers across the country. His leadership played a key role in scaling AWS’s operations in India, ensuring projects met quality, safety, and sustainability benchmarks.

Kumar’s professional journey includes notable stints at TATA Projects Limited, where he served as General Manager, and the Sahana Group of Companies, where he held the role of Head of Projects. In these roles, he managed the execution of large-scale building projects, including high-rise structures and township clusters, demonstrating his expertise in project management and execution.

Earlier in his career, Kumar held senior leadership positions at Sterling Construction System Limited, Mumbai, where he was responsible for delivering multiple building projects within targeted timelines. His contributions have consistently emphasized precision, efficiency, and adherence to industry standards.

Kumar holds a Master’s degree in Construction Management from the National Institute of Construction Management & Research (NICMAR), Delhi, and a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Amravati University. His strong educational foundation complements his extensive industry experience, making him a well-rounded leader in the construction and development sector.

As Vice President at NTT Global Data Centers, Kumar is expected to leverage his vast experience to drive strategic initiatives, enhance project delivery, and support the company’s growth in India. His appointment highlights his leadership capabilities and expertise in managing large-scale construction projects.

Kumar’s career reflects his dedication to excellence in construction and corporate leadership, and his new role at NTT Global Data Centers marks another significant milestone in his journey.
