Lakshminarayanan KR has been appointed as the new Vice President – Operations Design at Swiggy Instamart. With over two decades of experience in supply chain management, Omni-channel retail, Agri-Tech, FMCG, and E-commerce, Lakshminarayanan brings a wealth of knowledge that will significantly contribute to optimizing Swiggy’s operations.
Before joining Swiggy, Lakshminarayanan held prominent roles in leading organizations. At Walmart Global Tech India, he served as Director of Analytics for the Centroid Ambient strategy team, where he led key supply chain management initiatives. Prior to that, he worked at Flipkart as Principal Architect, focusing on supply chain operations for fulfillment and sortation centers. He was also instrumental in driving strategic capital expenditure and continuous improvement projects at Flipkart, ensuring enhanced customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
In his role at nurture.farm, Lakshminarayanan managed the inbound supply chain for agricultural machinery parts, including sourcing, logistics, and warehousing. He also led the Nurture Innovation Lab, where he explored potential product innovations to improve cost efficiency and optimize operations using technology and AI.
Lakshminarayanan’s earlier career at Miebach Consulting saw him heading the FMCG business unit, delivering successful projects across the Asia-Pacific region. He played a key role in business development, project delivery, and profitability, which expanded Miebach’s customer base globally. His contributions earned him a position as an International Task Force member, leading him to work in Europe and the USA on strategic projects.
At Swiggy Instamart, Lakshminarayanan will focus on refining the company’s supply chain strategies to support its rapid growth in the quick commerce industry. His extensive experience in managing scalable operations will be invaluable as Swiggy continues its expansion plans.
Outside of work, Lakshminarayanan is passionate about travel, always eager to explore new cultures and experiences. He has an extensive list of destinations he looks forward to visiting, both within India and internationally.
