Both appointments are pending shareholder approval, reflecting Cipla’s commitment to integrating experienced professionals into its governance framework.
Maya Hari, currently the CEO of Terrascope, brings over two decades of experience from prestigious companies like Twitter, Samsung, Google, and Microsoft. Her career includes significant contributions at Twitter, where she led strategy and operations across the Asia Pacific region. In addition to her executive role, she serves on several boards, including Axiata Group and Singlife Holdings, and has previously held leadership positions at OpenLearning and The Indus Entrepreneurs Singapore. Her academic credentials include an MBA from INSEAD and a Master of Science from Utah State University, complemented by executive training from Harvard Business School.
Sharmila Paranjpe comes to Cipla with a wealth of knowledge from the IT sector, predominantly with Wipro. Throughout her tenure, she held several key leadership roles, including Country Head for the UK and Global Head of Industrial Manufacturing. Beyond her corporate experience, Sharmila actively engages in social initiatives, serving as an Executive Director on the Board of the Doorstep School Foundation. She is dedicated to employee welfare, having played pivotal roles in enhancing workplace policies at Wipro.
