Naveen Gullapalli Appointed as Managing Director at Amgen India

Naveen Gullapalli has been named the Managing Director of Amgen India, a role that marks a significant milestone in his illustrious career. In his new capacity, he will lead Amgen’s India Technology and Innovation Centre, located in Hyderabad. The center serves as a hub for advanced digital and technological solutions aimed at transforming the biotech industry. Gullapalli’s vast expertise in global operations and business transformation positions him to drive impactful advancements in innovation and biotechnology.

Before joining Amgen, Gullapalli held various pivotal roles at Novartis for over a decade. As the Global Head of Global Business Solutions (GBS) and Corporate Centers, he managed a workforce of approximately 3,000 associates. His team delivered advanced services across commercial, scientific, and consulting domains. Notably, under his leadership, Novartis established integrated corporate centers across six countries, housing over 12,000 associates, which significantly contributed to the company’s strategic initiatives.

Gullapalli’s tenure at Novartis also included an instrumental role in developing the company’s capabilities in Hyderabad. As the Center Head of Novartis Business Services in Hyderabad, he was pivotal in creating and scaling multi-functional global centers. His efforts helped position Hyderabad as a strategic location for Novartis’ global operations, fostering innovation and operational efficiency within the organization.

Prior to his work at Novartis, Gullapalli was associated with Thomson Reuters as Senior Vice President and Head of the Global Order Management Centre in Bangalore. In this role, he played a crucial part in setting up and scaling the center to support global revenue operations. His ability to lead complex cross-functional teams and deliver operational excellence was a hallmark of his tenure at Thomson Reuters.

Gullapalli’s career spans over two decades and encompasses leadership roles in business services, digital transformation, and technology adoption.
