Neeraj Sanghi Appointed Managing Director and Operating Partner at Neo Asset Management

Neeraj Sanghi has taken on the role of Managing Director and Operating Partner at Neo Asset Management, where he will lead the company’s efforts to grow its infrastructure investment platform. Backed by Peak XV Partners (formerly known as Sequoia), Neo Asset Management focuses on buyout funds for infrastructure projects, particularly in the roads sector. Sanghi’s goal will be to leverage his significant experience in infrastructure development, project management, and finance to expand the company’s portfolio and drive strategic growth.

Before joining Neo Asset Management, Sanghi served as CEO of Highway Concessions One Pvt. Ltd., a KKR-backed venture, where he was instrumental in streamlining operations and improving relationships with key stakeholders. His tenure at Essar Group also saw him in leadership roles such as Chief Executive Officer of Essar Concessions Limited and Chief Commercial Officer for Essar Projects India. In these positions, he spearheaded several large-scale infrastructure projects, including the LNG terminal at Hazira and the LPG Cavern Project in Visakhapatnam.

Sanghi’s career is marked by his ability to lead complex infrastructure initiatives and successfully navigate challenges in the oil & gas and road infrastructure sectors. He also played a pivotal role in founding the Highway Operators Association of India (HOAI), serving as its first president, where he advocated for industry-wide collaboration among road operators.

In his new role at Neo Asset Management, Neeraj Sanghi is set to focus on asset acquisition and infrastructure buyouts, positioning the company as a key player in the infrastructure investment space.
