Novartis has appointed Deepak Bisht as the Global Head of Corporate Centers and Environmental Sustainability & HSE Operations. In his new role, Deepak will manage Novartis Corporate Centers in major locations, including Dublin, Hyderabad, Kuala Lumpur, Ljubljana, Mexico City, and Prague, which collectively support a significant workforce across diverse business functions. He will also lead efforts in environmental sustainability and health, safety, and environment (HSE) operations, reinforcing Novartis’ dedication to sustainable practices and operational excellence.
With over two decades of experience, Deepak brings a proven track record of success in strategic leadership. At Novartis, he has held roles such as Global Head of Environmental Sustainability & HSE Operations and Head of Strategy & Innovation within Novartis Technical Operations, where he spearheaded initiatives in global manufacturing, supply chain management, and Net Zero transition strategies.
Prior to joining Novartis, Deepak held leadership roles at Johnson & Johnson, serving in supply chain analytics, and at Cognizant, where he managed business analytics programs for global healthcare clients. He began his career at Hewlett-Packard Enterprise (HPE) as an analytics consultant, handling key accounts and delivering impactful service solutions.
Deepak is an alumnus of the Indian Institute of Management, Mumbai (now IIM Nagpur), where he earned his MBA in Operations, and a graduate in Mechanical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology (NIT). He also holds a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, showcasing his expertise in handling complex projects. This appointment highlights Deepak’s pivotal role in advancing Novartis’ sustainability and innovation objectives.
