Prakash Jaiswal has taken on the role of Head of Corporate Banking at SBM Bank (India), marking a significant new chapter in his career. In this position, Prakash Jaiswal will spearhead efforts to strengthen the bank’s corporate banking division, focusing on developing solutions for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), startups, and other corporate clients. This move comes as SBM Bank continues its growth trajectory, with a strong focus on leveraging technology, partnerships, and customer-centric strategies to provide innovative financial services.

Prior to this, Prakash held tenure at HSBC, where he served in various leadership roles. Most recently, he was Managing Director and Country Head of Business Banking (SME), where he led initiatives to grow the bank’s footprint in the SME and mid-market enterprise segments. Prakash Jaiswal’s experience at HSBC also included a focus on risk management, business growth strategies, and enhancing customer relationships, all of which will be key in his new role at SBM Bank.

Prakash Jaiswal’s earlier career included positions at Yes Bank and ICICI Bank, where he worked within corporate banking and SME units, building a strong foundation in banking and financial services. His experience spans over two decades and covers a wide range of expertise, from corporate banking to managing complex financial operations. With his appointment at SBM Bank, Prakash Jaiswal aims to focus on technology adoption and data analytics, which are central to the bank’s strategy of driving growth and innovation.
