Sai Giridhar has been named the Managing Director and CEO of Axis Finance Limited (AFL), a prominent non-banking financial company (NBFC) in India, pending regulatory approval. With years of experience in the banking sector, Sai Giridhar brings leadership expertise, having held key roles in major private sector banks. His appointment marks a strategic move for Axis Finance as it looks to bolster its market position and expand its operations.
Sai Giridhar has a proven track record in managing end-to-end profit and loss (P&L) and driving growth across consumer lending businesses. His work in areas such as consumer risk management, debt management, and spearheading innovation and digital transformation initiatives has been pivotal in ensuring business efficiency and customer satisfaction. Axis Finance aims to leverage his experience to further its growth and strengthen its offerings in retail and SME lending.
This transition comes as Bipin Saraf, the outgoing MD & CEO of Axis Finance, returns to Axis Bank to lead Bharat Banking after more than a decade of service with Axis Finance. Under Saraf’s leadership, Axis Finance expanded significantly, and Giridhar is expected to continue this trajectory, focusing on enhancing business efficiencies and driving innovation in product offerings.
Sai Giridhar’s leadership comes at a time when Axis Finance is poised to scale new heights in the financial services sector, particularly in the NBFC space. His expertise in fostering innovation, combined with a customer-centric approach, is expected to take the company’s growth to the next level.
