Sajith Sivanandan, former CEO of Disney+ Hotstar, has taken on the role of President at Jio Mobile Digital Services. In his new position, Sivanandan will focus on developing scalable, AI-powered digital services, marking a significant step forward for Jio Mobile’s digital innovation strategies.
Sivanandan’s professional journey includes a notable tenure at Disney+ Hotstar, where he served as CEO from October 2022 to December 2024. During his time there, he led the platform’s business operations in India, defined strategic priorities, and worked on a growth-oriented product roadmap. His efforts also extended internationally, collaborating with regional leaders and the Disney+ team in the US to ensure sustained growth.
Before joining Disney+ Hotstar, Sivanandan spent over 15 years at Google, where he held leadership roles, including Managing Director and Business Head of Google Pay and Next Billion User Initiatives for the APAC region. His career began in 1996 with Star TV India, establishing a strong foundation in strategic business and leadership across global markets.
