Salil Pandey has joined Zuventus Healthcare, part of the Emcure Group of Companies, as the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO). In his new role, he will be spearheading a strong team of nearly 2,500 professionals across Sales, Marketing, and allied functions, contributing to the continued growth of one of India’s fastest-growing pharmaceutical companies with a robust presence across all key therapeutic segments.
With an illustrious career spanning close to three decades, Salil has demonstrated exceptional leadership in the pharmaceutical sector. Most recently, he served as Vice President & Cluster Head at Sun Pharmaceuticals, where he managed four business units with a revenue base of over ₹1,700 crore. Leading a high-performing team of 1,800 members, he played a pivotal role in driving the acute therapy business, particularly the erstwhile Ranbaxy portfolio, ensuring consistent brand performance and growth across competitive categories.
Earlier, Salil held several senior leadership roles within Sun Pharmaceuticals, including Associate Vice President, General Manager, Deputy General Manager, and National Sales Manager across Key Therapeutic segments including Gastroenterology, Pain Management, Neuro Psychiatry , Anti Infectives, Respiratory etc. He successfully handled category-leading Mega Brands such as Pantocid, Rifagut, Ursocol, Sompraz, Febutaz, Mesacol ,VSL#3, Etoshine, Disperzyme, many of which have continued to outpace market growth year after year. His expertise in successful launch of several new products ,expanding divisions, brand turnaround strategies, and building high-performance teams positioned him as a key leader within the organization.
Salil’s journey in the pharmaceutical industry began with field roles at Croslands Research and Win Medicare, where he steadily rose through the ranks, gaining deep market insights and strong business acumen. His on-ground experience of Pan India combined with strategic leadership across national and zonal levels, has given him a comprehensive understanding of the Indian pharmaceutical landscape, making him a valuable asset to Zuventus Healthcare as it embarks on its next phase of growth.
