With nearly a couple of decades of experience in finance and mergers and acquisitions, Shailesh Apte is well-equipped to lead Welspun’s strategic growth initiatives. His vast background includes a proven track record in managing complex M&A transactions, including buy-outs, divestments, and joint ventures, showcasing his adeptness at navigating intricate deal structures and negotiations.
Prior to this, Shailesh Apte held the position of Senior Vice President at Welspun Group, where he focused on M&A and growth strategies. His experience extends to JSW Steel, where he was General Manager for M&A and Strategic Finance, orchestrating various acquisition financing efforts and ensuring seamless post-acquisition integrations. Additionally, his tenure at Essar(as Vice President of M&A)and at Ernst & Young allowed him to hone his skills in M&A, corporate finance and business restructuring.
Shailesh Apte’s academic qualifications include a Master of Commerce in Accounting, Finance, and Taxation from Mumbai University, along with his credentials as a Chartered Accountant.He is graduated from R.A.
