Swati Karmarkar has been elevated to the role of Executive Vice President and Head of Legal at Horizon Industrial Parks, Blackstone Logistics Platform. In her new capacity, Swati will continue to lead legal strategy, governance framework and compliance initiatives across the company’s expanding industrial and logistics portfolio.
Swati has been associated with Horizon Industrial Parks since its inception, from November 2021, heading the legal department as a Vice President. Over the past four years, she has played a key role in managing large-scale transactions; structuring and strategizing complex deals; and ensuring robust legal governance. Her leadership and in-depth understanding of the legal landscape and business needs have been instrumental in supporting Horizon’s business growth and operational success.
With an illustrious career spanning over 20 years, Swati brings extensive expertise in corporate and commercial law; real estate laws, commercial contracts; and regulatory affairs. Before joining Horizon Industrial Parks, she has worked as General Manager – Legal at Lodha Group and held senior roles at DSK Legal, Thakker & Thakker, Naik Naik & Co. With her vast experience across leading law firms and real estate developers she effortlessly manages legal affairs of Horizon’s PAN India portfolio.
A Solicitor by qualification, Swati is an alumni of Government Law College, Mumbai. Swati is known for her agile and strategic approach; and in-depth understanding of law and business. Her commitment to the company, continues to be a driving force in strengthening Horizon Industrial Parks’ legal framework and supporting its long-term vision of building world-class industrial assets.
