Vaibhav Mittal has recently joined The Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL) as Vice President of Corporate Affairs, marking a significant career move. With decades of experience in real estate strategy, business development, and public policy, Vaibhav brings a wealth of knowledge to one of India’s largest hospitality brands. His new role at IHCL, which boasts a portfolio of numerous hotels globally, will likely involve overseeing corporate affairs and public policy initiatives for the company in India. IHCL is known for its legacy of luxury hospitality, operating renowned brands like Taj, SeleQtions, Vivanta, Gateway, Ginger etc.
Before joining IHCL, Vaibhav was the Vice President and Head of Business Development at Reliance Model Economic Township (MET), where he managed the marketing and business development of 8250 acres of integrated township project near Gurugram. His work at MET involved industrial, residential, and commercial developments, along with a focus on sustainability. Vaibhav Mittal’s expertise in managing large-scale infrastructure projects will be invaluable in his new role at IHCL, as he navigates the complex landscape of corporate governance and public policy in the hospitality industry.
Prior to his time at Reliance MET, Mittal also served as Business Head at Mahindra World City, Chennai, where he was responsible for the development and promotion of industrial clusters and integrated business parks. His career spans multiple leadership roles at organizations like Ascendas – Singbridge (Now CapitaLand), GMR Group and China Fortune Land Development, where he enhanced his skills in destination building and international business development. His diverse background in strategic leadership, investments, and stakeholder management positions him as a key player in driving IHCL’s growth and expanding its business.
Vaibhav Mittal’s academic background, including his certificate courses at Harvard University and ISB, complements his extensive professional experience, making him a strong addition to IHCL’s team.
