Vivek Agarwal has joined Investcorp as Senior Operating Partner for its India operations, bringing extensive experience in technology, mergers and acquisitions, and business strategy. Previously serving as President at Tech Mahindra, he has over two decades of leadership expertise in global business management and technology-driven transformations. In his new role, he will focus on strengthening Investcorp’s presence in the software and software services sectors, identifying growth opportunities, and driving strategic initiatives.
As part of his responsibilities, Agarwal has also joined the board of directors at NuSummit, formerly known as NSEIT. Investcorp acquired NuSummit last year to expand its capabilities in digital transformation and cybersecurity. His industry insights will be instrumental in enhancing the firm’s India portfolio and fostering long-term growth.
Investcorp has been steadily increasing its footprint in India since acquiring IDFC Alternatives’ private equity and real estate businesses in 2019. The firm has made strategic investments in companies such as Wakefit, InsuranceDekho, and Wingreens Farms, while successfully exiting ventures like ASG Eye Hospital, Medi Assist Healthcare Services, and Safari Industries India Ltd. With Agarwal’s leadership, Investcorp aims to accelerate its technology-focused initiatives, leveraging mid-market investment opportunities and fostering innovation.
