Yogesh Kulkarni has joined Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals Limited as the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). With a career spanning over two decades, Yogesh brings extensive expertise in cybersecurity strategy, risk management, incident response, and data privacy, where he also serves as the Data Protection Officer (DPO). His responsibilities include strengthening Crompton’s IoT/OT security and ensuring a robust cybersecurity framework.
Before joining Crompton Greaves, Yogesh was associated with Pidilite Industries as Senior Manager – Information Security Operations Lead. During his tenure, he led efforts in network security, endpoint protection, compliance management, and SOC operations. His proficiency in zero-trust architecture, application security, and OT security enabled Pidilite to enhance its cybersecurity posture significantly.
Yogesh’s journey also includes a key role at Lupin Limited, where he served as Information Security Manager. He was instrumental in managing global security operations, encompassing OT security, cloud security, and greenfield infrastructure projects. His contributions in deploying SD-WAN and software-defined access (SDA) solutions were pivotal in building scalable and secure networks across Lupin’s operations.
At WNS Global Services, Yogesh held the role of Group Manager – IT Security & Network. His responsibilities spanned managing global network and security operations for clients, including IT audits, firewall management, intrusion prevention systems, and WAN networks. His efforts ensured seamless and secure connectivity for WNS’s global clientele.
Yogesh’s tenure at Reliance Communications as Manager – Network & Security Infrastructure Lead laid a strong foundation for his career. Over nearly eight years, he focused on network security, IT infrastructure management, and operations, gaining expertise that prepared him for leadership roles in the cybersecurity domain.
A certified CISM (Certified Information Security Manager) and CIPM (Certified Information Privacy Manager), Yogesh combines technical expertise with a strategic vision to align cybersecurity with business objectives. His certifications underscore his knowledge of compliance standards and privacy frameworks, crucial for managing risk in evolving digital landscapes.
