Burgess Cooper has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the newly created Operational Technology (OT) Cybersecurity business at Adani Group. With nearly three decades of rich experience in cybersecurity and technology leadership, he brings a strong background in building and managing secure infrastructures across major organizations.
Throughout his career, Burgess Cooper has held senior leadership roles at prestigious companies such as HSBC, Vodafone, and EY. At HSBC, he spent close to a decade handling critical responsibilities in information security. Later, at Vodafone India, he worked as the SVP & Chief Information Security Officer, leading major cybersecurity and privacy initiatives. Most recently, he served as the Cybersecurity Partner and Deputy Leader at EY, where he drove large-scale cybersecurity consulting projects across multiple industries.
In his new role at Adani, Burgess Cooper will lead the mission to build a world-class Operational Technology cybersecurity services company. His focus will be on securing India’s industrial infrastructure, including critical systems across sectors like financial networks, manufacturing facilities, and power grids. His leadership is expected to significantly strengthen Adani’s vision of integrating cutting-edge cybersecurity practices into its growing infrastructure and operations.
