Jio Leasing Services Limited has announced the appointment of Charanjit Attra as the new Managing Director and CEO, effective from July 9, 2024. Attra, a distinguished finance professional with a rich background in banking, finance, and accounting, brings over two decades of expertise to his new role.
Before joining Jio Leasing Services, Attra served as the Group Chief Operating Officer at Jio Financial Services Ltd., where he played a crucial role in shaping the company’s strategic initiatives. His transition to Jio Leasing Services Limited, a subsidiary of Jio Financial Services, signifies a strategic move to strengthen the company’s position in the leasing industry.
Prior to his tenure at Jio Financial Services, he held the position of Chief Financial Officer at State Bank of India (SBI), where he was instrumental in overseeing major financial operations and implementing critical changes.
A Chartered Accountant and CPA from the United States, Attra has been recognized for his contributions to the finance industry. He has been awarded the prestigious Best CFO Award for four consecutive years by the CFO Institute and has been honored by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) for his significant impact in the field of finance. Additionally, Attra has been actively involved in various committees, including those of the Reserve Bank of India and the National Advisory Committee on Accounting Standards set up by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs.
