SBICAP Ventures Limited (SVL) is delighted to announce the appointment of Prem Prabhakar as its new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, effective June 4, 2024. Prabhakar will lead the strategic direction, operational efficiency, and overall growth of the company. He will also manage investor relations and drive initiatives that align with SVL’s mission of creating long-term value for investors and supporting community development.
With over 24 years in the banking sector, Prabhakar brings a wealth of experience to his new role. Prior to this appointment, he was General Manager at the State Bank of India (SBI), where he held several key positions, including Deputy General Manager (B & O) overseeing retail business and operations, Chief Dealer (Forex) at SBI Global Markets in Mumbai, and Chief Dealer at SBI New York. Additionally, he served as a Director on the board of the Regional Rural Bank, Jharkhand Rajya Gramin Bank. Prabhakar’s expertise spans treasury operations, forex, money markets, derivatives, resource management, ALM, and risk management, with over 12 years of specialized experience in these areas.

In addition to this leadership change, SVL has announced the launch of its latest fund, the TDC Fund, in April 2024.
