Santosh Kumar has been elevated to the position of Deputy Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at IndusInd Bank. With over two decades of extensive experience in finance and accounting, Santosh has taken on the responsibility to lead the bank’s finance and accounts division as a Key Managerial Personnel. This move comes at a crucial juncture as the bank navigates financial headwinds and regulatory scrutiny, reaffirming its commitment to robust financial governance.
Santosh has been serving as Chief Accountant at IndusInd Bank, where he focused on cost optimization and reporting efficiency. His career spans over twenty years and includes leadership roles in finance, budgeting, taxation, financial reporting, and cost management. In his elevated role, Santosh will steer the bank’s finance strategy and oversight until a full-time CFO is appointed, continuing to strengthen the financial framework of the organization.
Before joining IndusInd Bank, Santosh held the role of Head – Financial Accounting and Reporting at ICICI Bank. He also brings valuable experience from his tenure at PwC, where he worked on consulting assignments for large corporates in finance, compliance, process controls, and risk assessment. His deep domain knowledge and strategic approach have made him a key contributor to financial operations wherever he has worked.
A Chartered Accountant and Cost Accountant by qualification, Santosh has consistently demonstrated excellence in managing financial systems and aligning them with business priorities. His elevation marks a significant milestone not only in his professional journey but also in the ongoing evolution of IndusInd Bank’s leadership framework.
Santosh will assume his new responsibilities with effect from April 18, 2025, and will be instrumental in guiding the financial direction of the organization during this transitional period.
