Dr. Ashfaq Ahad has been appointed as the Chief People Officer/Chief Human Resources Officer at ANJ Group, where he will be leading the business and people strategy to strengthen organizational growth and workforce transformation. With over two decades of experience in human resources, leadership development, and business strategy, he brings a unique blend of entrepreneurial spirit and corporate expertise to his new role.
Before joining ANJ Group, Dr. Ahad was Vice President at Delhivery, where he pioneered the concept of a large-scale upskilling and continuous learning ecosystem, aspiring to build the “Delhivery School of Logistics.” His leadership focused on embedding talent development as a core business driver and creating future-ready capabilities for one of India’s leading logistics companies.
Earlier in his career, Dr. Ahad co-founded multiple successful ventures, including CollegeDekho’s CLD Academy and Talentedge Academy, the latter of which was acquired by upGrad. He also played a pivotal role at Fazlani Academy of Business Sciences as Co-Founder and CEO, where he spearheaded the establishment of three business schools across Mumbai, Gurgaon, and Bhubaneswar. His entrepreneurial journey was complemented by his leadership at People Edge Management Private Limited, where he served as Managing Director and guided global business operations.
Dr. Ahad’s corporate leadership experience includes senior HR roles at Tech Mahindra Business Services, Hutchison 3G, Syntel Inc., GE, and ICICI Bank. Notably, at Syntel, he served as Group Head of HR for KPO/BPO operations and Global Head of Talent Acquisition, while at GE he was part of the prestigious Global Leadership Program. His foundation in HR leadership was built at ICICI Bank, where he headed HR for the entire North India region.
