Tarun brings to Akums a remarkable legacy of global IT leadership, having previously held senior roles at Mankind Pharma Ltd, VFS Global, BT Group, and CRISIL. In his most recent role as Vice President – Digital Transformation at Mankind Pharma, he played a pivotal role in orchestrating the company’s digital acceleration strategy, aligning business and technology goals, and overseeing IT integration post-acquisition of a USD 1.6 billion company. His extensive experience covers managing IT operations across 140+ countries, delivering large-scale digital initiatives, and leading high-performance teams of over 200 professionals.
At Akums, Tarun will focus on modernizing IT infrastructure, enhancing cybersecurity, and fostering a culture of innovation through AI, ML, RPA, and cloud solutions. His vision is to ensure that IT is not just a support function but a core enabler of business growth, operational excellence, and regulatory resilience. His work has already resulted in operational cost savings exceeding USD 5 million through strategic vendor negotiations and digital automation.
