Manjari Upadhye Joins Mahindra & Mahindra as Chief Marketing Officer for Automotive Division

Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) has appointed Manjari Upadhye as the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) for its automotive business. In her new role, Upadhye will oversee the marketing efforts for M&M’s Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) product portfolio, including digital marketing, PR, and Mahindra Adventure Initiatives. She will report directly to Nalinikanth Gollagunta, CEO of M&M’s automotive business.

With over 25 years of experience in marketing, sales, e-commerce, and P&L management, Upadhye brings a wealth of knowledge from her time in the FMCG sector. She has held prominent positions at leading consumer brands such as Colgate, Ocean Spray, PepsiCo, and Mondelez. Her expertise spans various segments including home improvement, apparel, food and beverages, oral care, and personal care.

Prior to joining M&M, Upadhye served as the CEO of Welspun Living Limited’s domestic business, where she managed portfolios in home textiles, flooring, and advanced textiles. Her leadership there included developing a branded value-added play in a highly unorganized sector, earning her the Chairman’s Award at Welspun Living.

Upadhye joins M&M at a pivotal time as the brand looks to strengthen its position in the fast-growing Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) market. One of her first major assignments will be the launch of the 5-door Thar, set to be officially unveiled on August 15.
