Bajaj Capital has announced the appointment of Angad Wadia as the new Chief Operating Officer (COO). In his new role, Wadia will lead the Retirement Business at Bajaj Capital, bringing over 17 years of experience in operations leadership and a deep understanding of fintech and customer experience.
Wadia previously served as Vice President of Operations & Customer Excellence and Head of Strategic Initiatives at Bajaj Capital. He has been instrumental in crafting strategies that align with the organization’s mission, driving competitive advantage, and implementing efficient processes and scalable systems.
Before his tenure at Bajaj Capital, Wadia held significant positions at MobiKwik, where he served as Director of Operations. He was responsible for overseeing customer experience, fraud risk, merchant, and regulatory compliance. His leadership in these areas was pivotal in strengthening the company’s operational capabilities.
Wadia’s career also includes leadership roles at PolicyBazaar.com, Zaakpay, and 5By7, where he honed his skills in contact center management, sales management, and operational excellence. His academic credentials include a Post Graduate Program in Marketing Leadership from Northwestern University and a PG Certificate in Fintech from the Indian Institute of Management Nagpur, reflecting his commitment to continuous learning and staying at the forefront of industry trends.
As COO, Wadia is expected to steer Bajaj Capital’s retirement business through transformative phases, focusing on adaptability, resilience, and the integration of cutting-edge fintech solutions.
