BorgWarner Promotes Joseph Fadool to COO and Unveils New Business Unit Structure

BorgWarner Inc. has announced a leadership change effective July 1, 2024. Joseph Fadool, currently the vice president and president and general manager of emissions, thermal, and turbo systems, will be promoted to executive vice president and chief operating officer (COO). In his new role as COO, Fadool will manage all company operations and report directly to the presidents of the business units.

CEO Lissalde highlighted Fadool’s deep understanding of the company and his expertise in technology development and marketing, making him the ideal candidate for the COO position. Over the past five years, Fadool has successfully led the Emissions, Thermal, and Turbo Systems unit, contributing to significant growth and strengthening relationships with major international original equipment manufacturers (OEMs).

Fadool expressed his appreciation for the opportunity to become COO, emphasizing the importance of this moment in accelerating the company’s transition to advanced mobility solutions.

BorgWarner will also align its financial reporting with this new business unit structure beginning July 1, 2024.
