Sanjeev Agrawal has been appointed as the Group Chief Technology Officer at Blue Star Limited, bringing with him over three decades of distinguished experience in research and development, innovation management, and technology leadership. With a proven track record of setting up world-class design and engineering centers, Sanjeev has been at the forefront of product innovation across diverse sectors including electrical, consumer durables, lighting, IT equipment, industrial products, and IoT-enabled solutions. In his new role, he will lead Blue Star’s technology strategy, product development initiatives, and innovation roadmap to further strengthen the company’s competitive edge.
Prior to joining Blue Star, Sanjeev served as Vice President & Chief Technology Officer and Head of ESG at Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals Limited. There, he played a pivotal role in aligning R&D strategy with business growth, driving advanced technology adoption, and building innovation capabilities. His leadership was instrumental in enhancing Crompton’s portfolio in air circulation, water pumps, lighting, and domestic appliances. His tenure also saw significant strides in open innovation management and fostering strategic technical partnerships to deliver consumer-centric products.
Sanjeev’s career journey includes influential leadership roles at industry giants such as Havells India Ltd, Anchor by Panasonic, Philips Electronics India, Dell Technologies, and Schneider Electric. He has led the development of groundbreaking products, ranging from high-performance home automation systems and advanced circuit protection devices to energy-efficient lighting and server technologies. At each stage, his expertise in program management, quality systems, and cross-functional team leadership has consistently translated into market-ready innovations and enhanced operational efficiency.
