Suneel Khare has been appointed as Chief Technology Officer – Digital at Planetcast Media Services Limited, a significant addition to the company’s leadership as it accelerates its growth in the global media-tech space. With over 25 years of experience, Suneel brings deep expertise in digital transformation, streaming media, cloud, GenAI, and large-scale video delivery to Planetcast’s technology charter.
Prior to joining Planetcast, Suneel served as Senior Vice President of Engineering at ZEE – Technology & Innovation, where he led the transformation from traditional media to a media-tech powerhouse. During his tenure, he spearheaded large-scale innovations at Zee5, optimized multi-cloud strategies, and elevated video delivery experiences for millions of users. His earlier leadership roles at ACT, Huawei, and Cisco further strengthened his reputation as a pioneer in media streaming and customer-centric video technologies.
Suneel has also held strategic roles at PacketVideo, HCL Technologies, Samsung Electronics, and Applied Electro Magnetics Pvt Ltd, consistently driving innovation in multimedia products and OTT platforms. Notably, he has contributed to ISO media standards and collaborated with the founding team of Android on its early media stack—marking his influence on the industry at a global scale.
At Planetcast, Suneel will lead the digital technology vision, laying the foundation for next-generation products, international expansion, and media innovations across OTT, cloud, and AI-driven solutions. His appointment reflects Planetcast’s commitment to building world-class capabilities and strengthening its position as a leader in media-tech transformation.
