Anant Patel has joined Practo as the Vice President of Growth and Marketing, bringing with him over a decade of diverse experience in digital marketing, growth strategy, and brand building across some of the most prominent digital and consumer-tech companies in India and abroad. In his new role at Practo, a leading digital healthcare platform, Anant is set to spearhead initiatives that will drive user acquisition, engagement, and long-term retention.
Before joining Practo, Anant was with Disney+ Hotstar, where he served as Director of Marketing and led digital marketing strategies for India as well as international markets including Africa, the Middle East, and South Asia. He was instrumental in driving both brand and performance marketing campaigns across marquee events like the IPL, multiple ICC World Cups, and high-profile entertainment launches. His contributions helped shape the streaming platform’s digital dominance in these competitive regions.
Anant’s journey in digital marketing began over a decade ago and includes impactful tenures at MakeMyTrip, OLX, Hungama Digital Media Entertainment, and Justdial. At MakeMyTrip, he spent over four years building and leading the digital marketing team, first as Head of Mobile Marketing and later as Associate Director. His work played a key role in scaling the company’s app user base and enhancing performance marketing efforts across platforms. Prior to that, at OLX, he led mobile marketing and strategic partnerships for South Asia, driving user growth and app distribution.
Earlier in his career, Anant handled product management roles at Hungama and Justdial, leading the development and launch of music, video streaming, and local search apps across Android, iOS, and Windows platforms. These early roles laid the foundation for his strong understanding of digital products and user experience, which has consistently guided his strategic approach to marketing and growth.
As he steps into his new role at Practo, Anant brings a legacy of strategic thinking, operational excellence, and deep digital acumen. His appointment marks a pivotal move for the healthcare platform as it accelerates its growth trajectory in India’s fast-evolving digital health ecosystem.
