Ashish Shekher has been appointed as the Head of Talent Acquisition & HR Operations at JSW Steel, Sambalpur Works. In this role, Shekher will spearhead the organization’s HR functions, focusing on key talent acquisition initiatives and optimizing HR operations to align with JSW Steel’s strategic goals.
Before joining JSW Steel, Shekher was the General Manager – HR & IR at Yokohama India, where he managed HR operations for the Dahej Plant and the Delhi NCR region. His tenure included overseeing HR and industrial relations, driving digital transformation, and enhancing employee engagement, which significantly contributed to Yokohama India’s growth in the OHT and PCR Tyres sectors.
Shekher’s prior experience includes a role as Unit Head HR at Adani Wilmar Limited in Mundra, Gujarat, where he supported HR operations during a critical transition period. He also served at Welspun Group as Head HR for WCL-PCMD Unit and later as Associate General Manager – HR, focusing on plant-level HR initiatives and operational efficiency.
Earlier in his career, Shekher worked as Senior Manager – Corporate HR at Viraj Profiles Ltd, contributing to corporate HR strategies for one of the largest stainless steel producers globally and handling HR operations across international markets.
