Bharat Puri has been elevated as Senior Advisor and Director at Pidilite Industries Limited. With a professional journey spanning decades, Puri brings with him deep expertise in global business strategy, marketing, and category leadership. He will now support Pidilite’s strategic direction in an advisory, part-time role, following a decade-long tenure as Managing Director, during which he was pivotal in driving innovation, global expansion, and cultivating a people-centric work culture.
Puri’s elevation marks a continued association with Pidilite Industries Limited, where he has played a key role in transforming the organisation into a world-class Indian multinational. Prior to this, he held multiple global leadership positions at Mondelēz International, including President – Global Chocolate, Gum, and Candy and Senior Vice President – Global Chocolate. His leadership at Mondelēz was marked by extensive experience across geographies and a strong focus on category development and international growth.
Earlier, Puri spent over a decade at Cadbury plc, where he contributed significantly to business operations in India and the Asia Pacific region. His roles included Managing Director for the Indian Subcontinent, Regional Commercial Director – Asia Pacific, and Global Chocolate Category Director. His tenure at Cadbury strengthened his global perspective and sharpened his commercial acumen across diverse markets and cultures.
Puri began his career at Asian Paints, where he served for over 16 years, rising from an executive trainee to General Manager – Marketing. This foundational experience at one of India’s most respected companies laid the groundwork for his strong understanding of brand development, consumer behaviour, and marketing strategy. Across all these roles, his career reflects consistent excellence and visionary leadership in scaling consumer-centric businesses.
