Hemant Kumar has joined Cadila Pharmaceuticals as President–Supply Chain & Procurement. With over three decades of leadership experience in global supply chain management, Hemant brings a robust track record of transforming backend operations and driving strategic growth across renowned pharmaceutical organizations including Glenmark Pharmaceuticals, Mylan Laboratories, SUN Pharma, and Ranbaxy.
Throughout his career, Hemant has led end-to-end supply chain operations, procurement, logistics, technical functions, and transformation initiatives across India and global markets. At Glenmark Pharmaceuticals, he served as Group Vice President & Global Head–Integrated Supply Chain, managing demand planning, supply planning, and logistics across five continents and servicing a $1.6 billion global commercial footprint. His role spanned over 10 manufacturing locations and more than 100 external manufacturing partners.
Hemant’s earlier stints include key leadership roles at Mylan Laboratories, where he headed regional supply chain and logistics for Rest of the World operations, and at SUN Pharma, where he led central supply chain planning for India and emerging markets. At Ranbaxy, he was instrumental in managing global supply chain functions for both dosage forms and APIs, playing a crucial role in strategic planning and system simplification projects in collaboration with firms like Accenture, BCG, McKinsey, SAP, and Bristlecone.
In his new role at Cadila Pharmaceuticals, Hemant will oversee the global supply chain, procurement, demand and supply planning, logistics, and distribution for formulations and APIs. His appointment marks a significant step in enhancing Cadila’s global operational capabilities.
