Kunal Kamal has been elevated to the role of Vice President – Marketing at Kotak Mahindra Bank. Kunal now leads marketing initiatives across a broad and diverse geography, including Punjab, Haryana, Jammu & Kashmir, Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Uttar Pradesh. His elevation reflects nearly two decades of consistent contributions to the bank’s marketing strategy and brand development at the zonal level.
Kunal brings over 20 years of experience in marketing and channel sales, with a core specialization in BTL and experiential marketing. Since joining Kotak Mahindra Bank in 2007, he has played a pivotal role in conceptualizing and executing innovative marketing engagements designed to drive business growth, enhance brand visibility, and deepen consumer engagement. His expertise in planning creative brand activations and forming strategic alliances across industries has contributed significantly to the bank’s regional outreach and brand resonance.
He has successfully leveraged data analysis and consumer behavior insights to tailor localized marketing strategies aligned with Kotak’s business goals. His work has consistently driven customer acquisition and retention across both urban and semi-urban markets.
Before joining Kotak Mahindra Bank, Kunal was associated with Tata Tele Services, where he managed operations and channel sales in Punjab and Himachal Pradesh. His early experience in handling prepaid and rural telephony business laid the groundwork for his deep understanding of regional markets and channel dynamics—skills that continue to drive his marketing leadership.
In his new role, Kunal will be responsible for further enhancing Kotak’s regional marketing footprint, driving experiential brand initiatives, and contributing to the bank’s broader strategic growth. His visionary approach, combined with a detail-oriented mindset, makes him well-positioned to lead impactful marketing programs across northern India.
