Before joining Welspun Corp Limited, Nagendra Kumar Singh served as Principal at Tata Steel Foundation, where he played a key role in business strategy and development. His association with Tata Steel spanned over 28 years, during which he held various leadership roles in procurement, raw materials management, and operational strategy. His tenure at Tata Steel reinforced his ability to drive large-scale industrial initiatives, process optimization, and sustainable business practices.
In addition to his corporate leadership, Nagendra has also contributed to academia, serving as a Part-time Lecturer at Government Polytechnic Adityapur, reflecting his commitment to industry knowledge-sharing and talent development. His educational background includes a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Rabindranath Tagore University, an M.Tech in Production Engineering from Biju Patnaik University of Technology, and an MBA in Operation Management and Post Graduate Diploma in HR, demonstrating a strong blend of technical and managerial expertise.
