Rachna Kumar has joined TVS Motor Company as Vice President – Human Resources, bringing with her nearly three decades of rich experience in talent development, change management, and organizational leadership. Prior to this role, Kumar served as the Chief Human Resources Officer at Hero MotoCorp, where she was instrumental in building a future-fit organization aligned with the company’s premium and EV business ambitions. She played a key role in developing a diverse, inclusive, and simplified work culture while enabling leadership capability and structure alignment.
Before her time at Hero MotoCorp, Kumar led the HR function at Whirlpool Corporation, overseeing operations across India, Singapore, Hong Kong, Australia, and Taiwan. As Head – Human Resources, Asia, she partnered closely with the regional and global leadership teams to drive strategic initiatives in leadership development, organization design, and employee engagement. In her earlier stint at Whirlpool, she also served as Head – Human Resources, India, focusing on leadership effectiveness, industrial relations, and inclusion.
Kumar’s career also includes leadership roles at Tata Trent (Westside), The Coca-Cola Company, and Castrol. At Trent Ltd., she led HR for retail operations; at Coca-Cola, she managed talent acquisition and industrial relations functions; and at Castrol, she held successive senior HR positions over a span of nearly five years. Her extensive cross-industry experience is expected to bring strategic depth to talent transformation efforts at TVS Motor Company.
In each of these roles, Kumar has consistently demonstrated a people-first approach, blending strategic thinking with operational agility. Her deep understanding of organizational dynamics and ability to lead high-impact HR initiatives position her as a valuable addition to the leadership team at TVS Motor Company.
