Rounak Parekh has been elevated as Senior Director – Global HR Shared Services (GHRSS) at Hitachi, marking a significant milestone in his journey, underscoring his continued leadership in global shared services transformation, HR strategy, and enterprise-wide delivery operations.
In his new role, Rounak will spearhead the operating model strategy and transformation for Hitachi’s Global HR Shared Services. He will play a key role in integrating HR shared services across the group, leading end-to-end service delivery, driving value realization, overseeing financial controllership, and strengthening governance. His work will contribute directly to the continued growth and maturity of Hitachi’s HR shared services within the Global Human Capital Function.
Previously, as Director – Global HR Transformation, Rounak played a pivotal role in managing enterprise-wide HR transformation programs and establishing scalable, future-ready HR shared service capabilities.
With over 17 years of cross-functional experience, Rounak’s career spans prominent organizations such as PwC India, Britannia Industries, Microsoft India (via G7 CR Technologies), and PayAutoMata India. At PwC, he was part of the Advisory practice for Shared Services & Outsourcing and Finance Transformation, driving global business services (GBS/GCC) operating model transformations and outsourcing strategies across industries like FMCG, Pharma, IT/ITeS, TMT, Chemicals, and Financial Services in regions including the US, EMEA, and APAC. At Britannia, he led critical finance initiatives encompassing statutory compliance, cost optimization, and annual reporting.
With a proven track record in offshore advisory, multi-functional delivery, and value realization, Rounak’s expertise blends operational excellence, digital transformation, and people-centric leadership. He holds an MBA in Finance and Marketing from the International School of Informatics & Management, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Industrial Relations and Personnel Management from Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan’s.
