Sarang Pande has taken on the role of Vice President – Digital Manufacturing & Industry Automation at Intas Pharmaceuticals, bringing with him nearly two decades of cross-functional experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Throughout his impressive career, he has worked with leading organizations such as Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories, Reliance Industries Limited, Sandoz, and Piramal Enterprises Limited, where he has consistently driven impactful digital and automation transformations across global manufacturing ecosystems.
In his most recent role at Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories, Sarang led the Digital Transformation Office under OpsNEXT. His work focused on end-to-end digital interventions across all manufacturing locations, leading to measurable business value and performance improvements. His efforts in spearheading the ‘Digital Lighthouse’ for the global manufacturing organization—incorporating Industry 4.0 technologies, advanced analytics, and machine learning—brought significant operational efficiencies, particularly in yield improvement and solvent recovery.
Sarang’s expertise spans the creation of GxP-compliant data infrastructure, data governance, and integration of complex systems including SAP ECC, MES, LIMS, and OSIsoft PI. His hands-on leadership in building a single source of truth across over 60 data systems demonstrates his capability in enabling data-driven decision-making. Additionally, his earlier roles in technical services and manufacturing systems engagement have equipped him with deep domain knowledge in pharmaceutical production and regulatory compliance.
Academically, Sarang holds a Post Graduate degree in Management and is a Chemical Engineer by training. He is an alumnus of the prestigious PGPEX-VLM program jointly conducted by IIM Calcutta, IIT Kanpur, and IIT Madras, designed to produce techno-managerial leaders for the manufacturing sector. His internship at Pfizer Global Supply further adds to his understanding of data integrity and process enhancement in global pharma settings.
