GSK has elevated Sumit Harwani to the position of Senior Director – Global Experience Owner, Talent & Learning. In this role, Harwani will be responsible for driving GSK’s global talent, learning, and capabilities development strategies, focusing on enhancing employee experience through human-centric processes and innovative technology solutions.
Harwani brings over 18 years of extensive HR experience, with expertise in talent management, learning and organization development, HR transformation, digital HR strategy, and AI-driven automation. Before this elevation, he led the Global Learning and Talent Development function for John Crane under Smiths Group, where he played a key role in shaping the company’s leadership pipeline, executing large-scale learning initiatives, and defining digital HR transformation strategies.
His career also includes leadership roles at Deloitte, where he spearheaded HR transformation projects, and Syngenta, where he led global HR operations and digital initiatives. His deep expertise in leveraging HR technology, including Workday, SuccessFactors, and ServiceNow, has significantly contributed to operational efficiency and employee experience enhancement in multinational organizations.
Harwani’s elevation reflects GSK’s commitment to strengthening its talent and learning strategies while advancing digital HR innovation. His leadership will be instrumental in redefining how employees develop their skills and grow their careers within the organization.
