Sunil Golani has been appointed as Head – Cloud Solutions Business at Ingram Micro. With a stellar track record spanning over 25 years in the technology distribution and cloud services sector, Sunil brings with him a depth of experience in cloud transformation, vendor ecosystem management, sales strategy, and business planning across Asia-Pacific and India. His appointment signals a strong strategic move by Ingram Micro to drive growth and innovation in its cloud services portfolio.
Prior to joining Ingram Micro, Sunil served as Senior Director – Cloud Solutions, Asia Pacific and Japan at Tech Data APAC, where he led large-scale regional initiatives for over six years. From spearheading multi-country cloud acceleration programs to overseeing public, private, and hybrid cloud strategies, Sunil played a pivotal role in expanding Tech Data’s presence across the APJ region. He also held several senior positions at Tech Data, including Director – Vendor Business, APAC, and Director – Cloud Solutions, where he successfully scaled Microsoft CSP and other Tier-1 vendor portfolios.
Sunil’s earlier career features a decade at Avnet, where he led regional vendor business and technology solutions practices across Asia Pacific. He was instrumental in driving technology adoption for leading vendors like HPE, VMware, Microsoft, Oracle, and NetApp. His journey began at Ontrack Solutions Pvt Ltd, where he served in multiple roles over nearly 12 years—from Chief Technology Evangelist to Pre-Sales Lead—demonstrating his expertise in enterprise infrastructure, customer engagement, and data center design.
At Ingram Micro, Sunil is now responsible for driving the strategic direction and execution of the cloud business in India. He will lead initiatives that focus on partner enablement, solution development, and ecosystem growth, contributing directly to Ingram Micro’s mission to empower businesses through cutting-edge digital and cloud technologies.
