Vikas Aggarwal, a seasoned engineering leader with over two decades of experience across the automotive and HVAC sectors, has been appointed as Vice President & Head of Engineering (R&D) at MAHLE ANAND Filter Systems Private Limited India, effective June 2025. He brings a deep-rooted expertise in system design, innovation, and lifecycle quality that aligns with the company’s strategic vision for growth and technological advancement.
Vikas most recently led Central QA and Supplier Quality at MAHLE ANAND Thermal Systems India overseeing quality across five plants and BS-6 product lines. He has also headed engineering and program management functions at MAHLE Thermal, playing a pivotal role in product development for customers like BMW, Nissan, Ashok Leyland, Tata Motors, and Mahindra. His leadership in developing next-generation e-mobility solutions and battery cooling systems (Tata Nexon EV and M&M BEV 6E,9E) has been instrumental in Mahle’s transformation initiatives.
Prior to his tenure at MAHLE ANAND Thermals, Vikas held key positions at Subros India, LG Electronics India, and BPL Display Devices, leading R&D and utility operations. At LG Electronics, he successfully spearheaded Six Sigma Black Belt projects, cost optimisation initiatives, and short-cycle NPI programs, contributing significantly to product innovation and quality. His ability to build cross-functional teams and execute strategic initiatives has earned him recognition within the Anand Group’s leadership development programs.
An alumnus of the Indian Institute of Management, Kolkata (Senior Management Program), Vikas holds an M.Tech in Machine Design (honours) & B.Tech Mechanical Engineering (Gold Medallist) from NIT Jalandhar. His appointment is expected to further bolster Mahle Anand’s engineering capabilities, enhance product performance, and accelerate innovation across its R&D portfolio.
